More than 16,000 public safety professionals attend the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition to learn new techniques, advance their knowledge and careers, and equip their departments for ongoing success. The three tenets of the conference are training, networking, and exhibit hall education. IACP 2024 will span four days of education and networking. The exposition hall will be open Sunday – Tuesday of the conference to meet with more than 600 vendors showcasing products and services to assist the law enforcement profession.
The National Pandemic GIS Task Force was founded in 2020, and through coordination with organizations like IAEM, ASTHO, and NACCHO, the National Pandemic GIS & Informatics Task Force Playbook was developed. The playbook guides action for common scenarios, stages, and business problems and outlines tactics based on best practices and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic. Frank Winters, chair of the National Pandemic GIS Task Force, will lead a discussion of data practices and policies that will improve the effectiveness of spatial data in public health. The intended audience is decision-makers, planners, and geospatial technologists.

The New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association is hosting the 26th New Jersey Preparedness Conference from April 7 to 11. Join NJEPA in Atlantic City for a week of nationally recognized training and breakout sessions, programs for up-and-coming emergency managers, awards, and a premiere general session. Training sessions are held Monday through Thursday, and breakout sessions are held on Wednesday and Thursday.
